TUITION CREDIT PLANS

Arts Express developed the Tuition Credit Plan (TCP) to make production participation affordable for ALL interested actors and theatre technicians.  TCPs are a creative approach to tuition funding and  are available for individuals that are interested in participating in the following 2017-18 Packages:  Christmas Carol/Hunchback (Total Tuition: $440), Christmas Carol/Big Fish (Total Tuition: $440), and Christmas Carol/Hunchback/Big Fish (Total Tuition: $640).  TCPs may work in combination with monies paid by you for tuition and/or a scholarship.  A TCP may consist of one or more of following components:  (1) Land a Corporate Sponsor; (2) Land an Individual Donor; (3) Obtain Silent Auction Items/Gift Certificates; (4) Provide Volunteer Hours for a Designated Project or (5) Join the Cycle 4 the Arts Team  See details in the drop downs below for more information.  Here’s an example:

EXAMPLE:  Tiny Tim wants to participate in all three Arts Express 2017-18 productions (Christmas Carol/Hunchback/Big Fish).  The total tuition for this package is $640.  Based on his family’s income, Tiny applies for a scholarship.  Arts Express approves a 50% scholarship, leaving $320 to be funded by the Cratchit family.  They decide to pay $150 and use a TCP to fund the remaining $170, with plans to Land a Corporate Sponsor for $100 and to provide Volunteer Hours for a total of 7 hours (valued at $70).  Tim lands a $100 Corporate Sponsorship from the Pantomime Theatre and completes his volunteer time by helping with the Bear Down Fridays booth at Main Gate Square.  Great job Tiny Tim!  You are now an actor in good standing with the Arts Express!
