Southern Arizona Thespians Program

Arts Express is happy to announce a new partnership with the Arizona Thespians Society to produce a musical theatre show to be performed for the public in early October and presented for Mainstage Adjudication at the thespian festival in November.  If we win on the state level, it is our plan to take the production to Lincoln, Nebraska in June 2018 for adjudication at the International Thespian Festival.

We have selected How to Succeed in Business as our 2017 production. The production will be directed by Dana Milne, with musical direction by AJ Lepore and choreography by Simone Jolivet-Manuel.  Rehearsals will begin next July.  We would like to encourage student actors from across Southern Arizona to audition.  Early auditions will be held at the Southern AZ Festival of Theatre (SAFT) on Saturday, January 21st.  Students that audition and register at SAFT will receive a 20% discount on program tuition.  Scholarships will also be available.  Program details will be emailed to you on Monday, January 9th.  In addition, we will develop flyers for distribution in your classrooms.
