    Experience the power of the arts with the Behind the Scenes – Broadway and More program.  Learn first-hand how Broadway actors and other world-class artists made it to the top, what life is like on the road or how the production team creates “magic” on the stage. Provided in collaboration with Broadway in Tucson and UApresents, this day-long package includes a theatre workshop with a standout professional artist, lunch/dinner, a behind the scenes look at the show’s production and admission to the show!

Carefully selected from the country’s top acrobatic schools, these gymnasts, jugglers, cyclists and tumblers have entranced the world for almost 50 years with their grace and precision, offering a performance that will mystify the whole family. Utilizing contortion, balancing acts and a variety of feats of strength and poise, they put on a show that audiences of all ages will love. After all, wonderment and appreciation know no age!

    Can you walk a tightrope?  As a mime, you CAN – without even leaving the ground!  Learn basic miming skills –climb a ladder, swim underwater, walk a tightrope, ride a bike and more.  Sounds like fun? It is! Please bring a sense of humor and your imagination.

    Parking: There are several parking structures including, for a fee, (1) underground Depot Garage off of 5th Ave and Toole; (2) Pennington Street Garage, above Café Poca Cosa on Pennington and Scott, and (3) El Centro Garage off of the Broadway underpass west. Of course all the metered parking is free after 5:00 pm and is all around the area.

    ARTS ARIZONA 2017: RODEO DAYS ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAM

    Western Heritage singer/song-writer Janice Deardorff is the Arts Arizona Program Coordinator and music educator.  The depth and quality of this program is reflected in its other faculty, which include Lee Anderson (and his horse Concho), Ted Ramirez: Tucson’s Official Balladeer, as well as John Scott from the Arizona Ghostriders, and Folklorico expert Andrea Parber!  Through this interactive, multi-genre arts education program, students will learn about western heritage music, corrido poetry, storytelling, Folklorico dancing, visual arts, and much more!
